Previously Unreleased Version Of Bowie's "The Man Who Sold The World"

Today would've been David Bowie's 73rd birthday, and to mark the occasion, Parlophone Records has issued a previously unreleased version of “The Man Who Sold the World." It's a mostly acoustic version of the song, and is not only being released in celebration of Bowie's birthday, but also to mark the 50th anniversary of the writing and recording of it. (Scroll down to listen.)

The track is one of six from Is It Any Wonder?, a streaming EP of unreleased and rare Bowie songs to be released over six weeks.

This version of the song will also be part of CHANGESNOWBOWIE, a nine-track session recorded for radio and broadcast by the BBC on Bowie’s 50th birthday -- January 8th, 1997. That will be released in limited quantities on Record Store Day this year (April 18th). You can read more about it HERE.
