The mural sits above a restaurant on Kingston upon Thames' Riverside Walk and shows a crowded Christmas scene filled with strange problems. People in the image have faces that look twisted and wrong, with extra body parts sprouting from them. Dogs appear to blend into human figures in disturbing ways. Even a snowman has an eye growing on its cheek.
There's a second mural nearby that looks just as bad. People on social media have joked that the artwork looks more like something out of a horror story than a holiday celebration. One person said it looks like scenes from a refugee camp mixed with a Christmas market, while another wondered how something this messy got approved when it's about 100 feet wide. Nobody has stepped forward to claim responsibility for the murals yet, though sources say the landlord put it up, not the restaurants below it.
