Welcome to a world where the following phrase is now a thing: “flying humanoid robot.”
The Italian Institute of Technology has successfully developed “The iRonCub” – a three-foot-tall robot weighing just 49 pounds with an “expressionless baby-like head” that can fly.
The flying comes courtesy of thrusters that are positioned in its arms and a jet-pack mounted firmly on its back. How long will it be before a fleet of these things will be seen flying around us?
