Flood Museum Closed Due To Exactly The Reason You Think

The Johnstown Flood Museum in Pennsylvania was built to commemorate the victims of an 1889 flood, but it’s not open at the moment. After the blast of cold weather passed through the area recently, a volunteer noticed some water, which led them to discover that the cold weather had caused a water leak in the building. That means the flood museum is closed due to flooding.

A valve failed on the building’s third floor and sent water pouring down through the walls, but luckily no artifacts or exhibits were damaged. The original Johnstown Flood resulted in a dam failing and over 2,000 people losing their lives.
