After failing to appear in court to face shoplifting charges, Carmela Ann Maines was arrested, and then strip-searched after a body scan showed an “anomaly.”
Officials say they found a “glass crack pipe protruding from the defendant’s vagina,” but after she snatched it away, threw it to the ground, and then stomped on it, she allegedly told officers that it was a sex toy.
Despite her explanation, she was booked on charges of possessing contraband in a county detention facility and tampering with evidence.
