“No, don’t do that, Emi. Don’t do that.” That was the comment on BBC as Emiliano Martinez was given the World Cup’s Golden Glove award and celebrated by putting the trophy, which is shaped like a hand, to his crotch and pumping the air with it.
Martinez’s save at the end of extra time and a penalty save helped his team win the Cup. There’s no word on if he’ll be disciplined, but since it’s Argentina’s first World Cup in almost four decades, he’ll most likely get away with it.
