Indians Shutout Twins With Another Superb Bieber Pitching Performance

For the second game in a row, a Cleveland Indians starter worked into the eighth inning without giving up a run as the Tribe beat Minnesota 2-0 at Target Field.

Shane Bieber went eight-innings and struck out 13 while only giving up three hits before giving way to James Karinchak, who worked a perfect ninth for his first save.

Bieber tied former Brooklyn Dodger Karl Spooner's record for 27 strikeouts in two opening starts, and Francisco Lindor hit a two-run homer in the third-inning to account for the games only scoring.

The Indians and Twins will now face off again tonight with first pitch at 8:10 p.m.
