Law enforcement and protesters are kneeling together during protests in downtown Des Moines, Iowa.
Last night as a county wide curfew took effect in, protesters outside the police department took a knee in memory of George Floyd and pleaded with law enforcement to kneel with them.
First, two officers knelt and prayed, then with a local pastor urging peace, the rest of the police force took a knee with the protesters. The crowd cheered and then those gathered peacefully left.
