Ohio State head basketball coach Chris Holtmann is showing support for his player who was detained over the weekend.
Seth Towns, a graduate transfer from Harvard, was briefly held by the Columbus Police on Friday for not moving when asked to do so but was not arrested or charged.
The day before the protest, Towns attended a virtual graduation ceremony where he got his degree from Harvard.
Holtmann released a statement on OSU Hoops Twitter saying the program fully supports a player's right to protest peacefully and they will continue to pray for safety in the city, state, and across the nation.
