A man in Massachusetts is under arrest after allegedly setting fire to an American flag.
Boston Police say 40-year-old Daniel Lucey torched a flag and tossed it onto an empty van parked in Boston Common.
When officers arrived, Lucey said he lit it on fire as a form of protest, though he did not go into further detail.
They also found several other U.S. flags that looked similar to ones placed around the city over Memorial Day weekend in his possession.
Officers say during the conversation Lucey then spit at one of them, with the saliva hitting their shoes.
He was arrested, and now faces charges of disorderly conduct, assault and battery on a police officer, malicious destruction of property and malicious destruction of historical monuments.
