The NHL and its Player's Union are moving closer to attempting to finish out the 2019-2020 season and its playoffs.
Following a weekend of talks, the NHL Board of Governors will hold a conference call this afternoon to discuss several ideas, including playoffs involving 16, 20, or 24 teams.
When the NHL suspended its season on March 12th, its clubs had between eleven and 14 games left to play on their schedules.
Sources say the two sides are still working to figure out how to bring in some teams who would not have qualified for the post-season into the new playoff scenario.
