Officials at Major league Baseball are preparing to send a plan for beginning the 2020 season to the MLB Players Union by next week.
Sources say the proposal would have a second spring training starting on June 10th, followed by opening day on July 1st.
According to reports, MLB has moved away from having teams playing games in a centralized location as a quarantine league, and now wants to see as many contests in clubs' regular home cities as possible.
No word yet on if the plan would call for games to be played without fans in attendance.
