The NBA announced over the weekend it will allow teams to reopen their practice facilities beginning May 1st.
The announcement comes more than six weeks since the NBA became the first professional sports league to suspend operations due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Insiders say teams will be allowed to re-open facilities for players voluntarily only if their respective local governments have eased stay-at-home orders.
The move puts the Cleveland Cavaliers in an odd place since Ohio's rules are expected to expire on the 1st in a gradual roll-back of restrictions.
