Voters will not be headed to the polls as expected today.
The Ohio Department of Health issued an order last night to postpone the primary election, citing the coronavirus pandemic.
The health emergency declaration followed a judge's denial of Governor Mike DeWine's initial request to move the primary to June.
The governor successfully shut down fitness centers, bowling alleys and movie theaters yesterday after more than a dozen new cases of COVID-19 were reported, bringing the statewide total to 50.
