Several northeast Ohio universities are turning to online classes to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The schools followed Governor Mike DeWine's advice to avoid large indoor gatherings by canceling face-to-face classes.
Universities that will make coursework online are Kent State, Akron, Walsh and Youngstown State.
The precautions will be in place through at least the end of March.
Meantime, several local school districts are preparing online lesson plans and blizzard bags if they're asked to close down.
