Ohio State University football head coach Ryan Day is staying with the Buckeyes until at least 2026.
The University announced on Tuesday that they had reached a deal with Day on a three-year contract extension pending approval by the Board of Trustees.
In addition to a 13-win season on the field, the Buckeyes football team was among the best academically in the country with 23 graduates and 39 Academic All-Big Ten players.
Under the new contract, Day will earn five-point-three million dollars this year, six-point-five million in 2021, seven-point-six million in 2022, and in 2023 the Board of Trustees will then meet to determine the amount of the next increases.
