Red Hot Chili Peppers and Tool are being announced as the new headliners of the Sonic Temple festival in Columbus in May.
The news comes after Metallica announced they were pulling out of that festival as well as the Louder Than life festival in Louisville because lead singer James Hetfield had conflicting recovery events planned that could not be moved.
In a statement, Hetfield apologized and said the band will still play all of their other scheduled show this year.
The group announced in the fall that Hetfield was going to rehab, and ended up having to reschedule their tour in Australia and New Zealand.
