David Arquette recently returned to wrestling, and it’s safe to say that it wasn’t exactly what he expected. The actor participated in a DeathMatch with Nick Gage in Los Angeles on Friday. For the record, a Death Match is a style of professional wrestling that utilizes the use of makeshift weapons for maximum bloodshed.
At one point, Nick was grinding broken light tubes into David’s forehead. When the two slipped up, David suffered an especially nasty cut on his neck. Even though David left and came back, he ultimately lost the match.
And it looks like that fight will be the end of Arquette’s wrestling career. He tweeted, “Turns out Death Matches aren’t my thing.”
