(Akron) – An Amber Alert has been issued for a missing baby.
At 4:26 a.m. Wednesday, one-year-old Darius Heard Jr. was taken by force from his home by his non-custodial father.
Darius was taken from home at 697 Callis Oval in Akron.
Darius is black, two feet tall, weighs 34 pounds, has brown eyes and black hair. He was wearing a red, white and blue Nautica Polo shirt and a diaper.
The suspect's name is Darius Rashaad Heard. The suspect is a Black male, age 27, is 6'01" tall, weighs 195, and has black hair and brown eyes. Last seen wearing a black Nike jacket, and grey shorts.
The vehicle involved is a silver Chevy Sonic. Car is believed to be an later model, and possibly has Texas Plates. There is an Enterprise rental sticker on front windshield on the driver’s side.
