Canton took an important step into the future yesterday, as officials broke ground on the next step of the Johnson Controls Hall of Fame Villiage project. The upscale hotel brand, Curio by Hilton is a part of the $600 million dollar renovation and will feature a Shula's Steakhouse, a farm to table restaurant and 25,000 square feet of meeting space.
Along with the hotel, the Hall of Fame is finishing work on the newly renovated Tom Benson Stadium, a high-tech, interactive football experience, community fields and a football themed retirement home. Officials plan on having all aspects of the renovation completed by 2020.
