A five-year-old boy in Ohio is being praised for helping to stop a car thief after his mother was attacked. While on a routine visit to a food assistance center in Grove City, a man struck Chasity Worrick in the face and stole her car keys before running from the parking lot.
Her kids instinctively ran after him, and her five-year-old son Adria,n managed to grab the keys before the man got away. Grove City Police Lieutenant Jason Stern later said that although Adrian’s reaction was brave, they advise against chasing someone in a dangerous situation.
Police eventually arrested the man involved and connected him to a stolen vehicle and items taken from a nearby store. Worrick says the incident was traumatic, but her children’s quick thinking helped bring the ordeal to an end. She’s also grateful that her kids weren’t harmed in the incident.
