A TD Bank branch in Southington, Connecticut, has installed a new “dog ATM,” or “automated treat machine,” allowing pets to enjoy a fun surprise during their owners’ visits. According to Kate Burns, retail market president at TD Bank in Southington, dogs can enjoy unlimited treats from the machine or grab a doggy bag to go. The device works when a dog steps on a puppy paw mat that releases the treats.

This installation is the first dog ATM in Connecticut, joining 13 others being introduced across TD Bank’s locations from Maine to Florida. The bank first tested the concept at a location in Philadelphia in 2024. Burns says the addition gives customers and their pets a “unique experience” and a creative way to engage when they visit the bank.

The dog ATM is one of several new features TD Bank is adding nationwide to make visits more enjoyable for customers. Burns says the machine is “a great way for them to be rewarded for making a great choice to come and visit us.”
