The Ice Bucket Challenge is making a comeback in 2025, this time to raise awareness for mental health.

Rebranded as the #SpeakYourMIND Challenge, the new version was launched by the University of South Carolina’s MIND Club and encourages participants to support Active Minds, a nonprofit focused on youth mental health.

The initiative was started by USC student Wade Jefferson, who set a modest goal of $500, but the campaign has already raised over $190,000!

While some have expressed concern about shifting focus from ALS, the ALS Association is okay with it and has publicly supported the campaign's evolution into broader mental health advocacy.
