Cleveland Indians starter Shane Bieber is making room in his trophy case after being named Baseball Digest's MLB Pitcher of the Year.
The Baseball Digest Awards were announced yesterday after a vote by a 17-member panel of writers, broadcasters, former players, managers, and executives.
Bieber was the unanimous selection for Pitcher of the Year over Reds right-hander Trevor Bauer and Yu Darvish of the Cubs.
Bieber went 8-1 with 122 strikeouts over 77-plus innings, and an ERA of three-point-three-two in the pandemic shortened season.
