LeBron James Challenged By L.A. Sheriff To Match Reward For Police Shooting

Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva is challenging Lakers star LeBron James to contribute to efforts to find the gunman who shot two Los Angeles County deputies at point-blank range over the weekend.

During a radio show Monday, Villanueva said the reward money reached 175-thousand and challenged James to double it.

In the interview, the county sheriff called on the Akron native to be as outspoken for all professions as he has been for African Americans.

Blue Lives Matter supporters have since stormed social media demanding LeBron take action and answer Villanueva's call. James has not responded to the sheriff's challenge.
