Chiefs Beat Texans To Kick Off NFL Season

The defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs have a new offensive weapon.

First-round draft pick Clyde Edwards-Helaire rushed for 138 yards on 25 totes, including a 27-yard touchdown gallop, in a 34-20 victory over the Texans to kick off the NFL season.

Patrick Mahomes threw for three touchdowns. Houston scored first, but then KC reeled off 31 unanswered points.

Sammy Watkins, Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce had TD receptions.
