Governor Mike DeWine says there is still a decent chance that Ohio State will play college football this fall.
DeWine spoke yesterday after having a conversation with OSU Athletic Director Gene Smith about a new push to have the Big Ten reinstate fall sports as early as October.
DeWine's comments also came one the same day that Ohio Senate leader Matt Huffman joined lawmakers from Michigan, Iowa, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin in sending a letter to Big Ten Commissioner Kevin Warren asking him to reverse his decision to postpone the fall season.
DeWine added that he believes the Big Ten can play football and other fall sports safely this year.
