NBA Players Boycott Playoffs After Blake Shooting

All three NBA playoff games yesterday were postponed as players boycotted to make a statement for racial justice after the shooting of Jacob Blake.

Players on the Bucks, Magic, Thunder, Rockets, Trailblazers and Lakers boycotted games after Blake, a Black man, was shot in the back by police officers in Wisconsin.

The NBA said the games would be made up, but did not announce when.

Three more NBA playoff games are scheduled for tonight, but it is unclear whether they will be played.

The Athletic reports the Lakers and Clippers voted to boycott the remainder of the season, but the rest of the teams voted to continue playing in the Orlando bubble.
