Cleveland Browns rookie Grant Delpit's season is over after tearing his Achilles tendon during practice.
Delpit was hurt while backpedaling to jump and catch a pass during drills and went down without any contact.
Delpit was carted off the field by trainers, and the team announced late Monday night that an MRI showed the Achilles had torn, and he will miss the season.
The Browns drafted Delpit with the 44th overall pick in the draft after a stellar season at LSU, where he won the Jim Thorpe Award and was a first-team All-American and All-SEC.
