Parker McCollum was supposed to be on stage this weekend but had to bow out of two socially-distanced shows after testing positive for COVID-19.
Parker was supposed to play Manhattan, Kansas and Stillwater, Oklahoma yesterday and today, in what he called “socially distanced, mask mandated shows,” but he shared on Instagram, “after realizing this morning that I could not taste or smell anything at breakfast, I went to get tested for covid and the results came back showing I was positive for the virus.” Parker added that he actually feels “great,” but is going to self-quarantine at his ranch for 14 days.
He shared, “My deepest apologies to the fans and the venues who were counting on me to perform. I absolutely believe that the shows should go on and I wish more than anything I could be there to play them,” noting, “It’s just an absolute bad stroke up luck on the timing of contracting this virus.”
Finally, he writes, “Please wear your mask and stay healthy. Hope to see you all very soon.”
