Indians pitcher Aaron Civale threw the first complete game of his career as Cleveland beat Pittsburgh 6-1 at PNC Park.
Civale scattered five hits while striking out six and took a shutout into the ninth inning before allowing Cole Tucker to score on a sacrifice fly from Josh Bell.
Carlos Santana hit a three-run home run, and Domingo Santana hit a bases-clearing double to score three more to pace the Indians offense.
Cleveland will now go for a sweep of the series tonight when they face the Pirates again at 7:05 p.m.
