San Diego Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. is quickly becoming one of the young faces of Major League Baseball.
After a dazzling rookie season in Southern California, Tatis has opened the truncated 2020 campaign on fire.
Actually fire isn’t fair—it’s more like an inferno—of Dante-esque proportions.
Don’t believe me—after hitting his league leading 12th homer of the season last night in just his 26th game—he would be on pace for the following numbers if this were a 162-game season:
75 HR
199 HITS
180 RBI
150 R
37 SB
Oh yeah, and countless HBP’s considering he continues to draw the ire of traditionalists around the baseball world after his antics earlier this week against the Rangers.
Worth noting, many of us have backed the young man.
Either way, he had a little message for the Rangers and their complaints in his homer celebration—watch the homer in the first clip and then—see the crybaby trolling in the second.
