Former OSU Coach Doubtful Spring Football Season Can Happen

Former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer says he thinks the Big Ten playing a spring football season would be impossible.

During an interview with the Big Ten Network on Tuesday, Meyer put the chances of playing football in the spring of 2021 at zero.

Meyer said asking a student-athlete to play two seasons of college football in a single calendar year is not physically possible.

Meyer also said many star athletes would opt out of playing in the spring because it would not allow them to prepare to participate in the NFL Draft and advance to the next level in their careers.
