Akron Zoo officials are dealing with a COVID-19-related budget crunch.
Zoo revenues are down one-million-dollars so far this year because of the pandemic's effect on attendance.
The public is being urged to help out with donations through the zoo's Facebook page or Akronzoo.org.
Officials will also lobby for federal funding to help balance the budget.
