FirstEnergy is accused of bankrolling what's being called the largest bribery scandal in Ohio history.
Federal prosecutors say the Akron-based utility funneled 60-million-dollars to Ohio House Speaker Larry Householder to help secure a bailout of nuclear power plants owned by a subsidiary.
Householder, an aide, the state's former Republican Party chairman and two lobbyists were arrested yesterday in connection with the scheme.
Householder was also referred for an investigation into campaign finance violations.
