Washington Redskins Will Undergo Thorough Review Of Team's Nickname

The Washington Redskins are showing signs they may change the franchise's nickname.

The NFL team announced it would undergo a thorough review of the name, which some claim is offensive to Native Americans.

Team owner Dan Snyder has defended using the name in the past and expressed no interest in changing it.

However, FedEx wrote to the team Thursday urging them to do so.

That company bought the naming rights to the stadium the team plays in.

Nike also announced it was pulling all of its Washington football merchandise from the site.
