Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield says he will kneel this season during the national anthem even if it costs him some fans.
Mayfield spoke on the subject over the weekend, saying he has pledged his support to end police brutality against minorities and then went on social media to address critics.
Mayfield said the people who are upset about kneeling don't understand that kneeling is the best way to both respect the military while standing up for equality under the law.
Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski has said he will support his player's decisions, and they will talk about it as a team, so everyone is on the same page.
