Indians Take High School Shortstop From Arizona With 23rd Pick In MLB Draft

The Cleveland Indians are adding Mountain Pointe High School shortstop Carson Tucker and right handed pitcher Tanner Burns from Auburn.

Cleveland grabbed Tucker at number 23 and then selected Burns at number 36 of Round A of the Competitive Balance round.

Burns is done at Auburn and should sign, but Tucker could use his verbal commitment to Texas as a way to get more money in his first contract.

The Tribe will next pick tomorrow at number 56 in the second-round, number 95 in the third, number 124 in the fourth, and with their last pick at number 154 in the fifth-round.
