Machine Gun Kelly and Travis Barker are releasing a cover of a Rage Against the Machine song in response to the death of George Floyd, the African-American man who was killed last week when a then-Minneapolis police officer kneeled on his neck.
The duo dropped their rendition of "Killing in the Name" yesterday, with a music video featuring footage of them taking part in protests against police brutality and systemic racism.
The video's ends with a screen that says "end systematic racism," and the caption says every word of the 28-year-old song "still applies." The officer who kneeled on Floyd's neck has been charged with second-degree murder.
The video is very NSFW. My boss makes me put that disclaimer in here.
