#GoodNews: Kid Saves Unconscious Mom Using CPR

A third grader from San Carlos, California has been recognized for his heroic actions that helped save his mom’s life. When Dimitri Meram’s mom hit her head on a car door and fell unconscious, the little boy bravely stepped up and knew what to do.

He learned CPR at Green Elementary School and knew he had to act quickly to help his mother. But as scary as the situation was, it was simple to him. “I just gotta do CPR,” Dimitri explains. “I mean, I learned it.”

His mom woke up five days later in the hospital, unaware of the what happened. Now she thanks him for saving her. “I’m incredibly proud of him,” Dimitri’s mother says. “He truly is my special angel.”
