Prankster Catfishes White House Staff

A British man who calls himself an "email prankster" has apparently tricked a number of White House officials into believing they were reading email from other administration officials.

He sent an email to Homeland Security Adviser Tom Bossert recently posing as senior adviser and presidential son-in-law Jared Kushner. Bossert replied and shared his personal email address. The prankster, who goes by “Sinon_Reborn,” posed over the weekend as now-former White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus with a taunting email to now-dismissed White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci. He also fooled Russia Ambassador-designate Jon Huntsman and President Trump's son Eric.

While it’s amusing on the surface, this is similar to the way John Podesta’s email was compromised and Wikileaks has posted emails said to be from new French president Emmanuel Macron’s campaign.
