Adam Rosales of the Oakland Athletics will never be confused with Yasiel Puig of the Dodgers.
At least not when it comes to their home run trots.
Because less than a week after Puig’s home run stare down and trot took 32.1 seconds—the second-longest in MLB this year against a very unhappy Mets team--Rosales didn’t even give us time to admire him rounding the bases.
Because Rosales didn’t just trot around the bases Sunday afternoon after hitting a home run. He full on sprinted around them.
And yesterday the fine folks at Statcast—yeah that’s a thing—were nice enough to point out that his trot came in at 15.88 seconds—making it the fastest trot of the season.
And who’s mark did he break?
Yup …his own.
