Via People.com. Wolfie Van Halen and his Dad were extremely close. From the photos and videos he's shared since Eddie Van Halen's death in October you can see that the pain of his loss is still heavy. In November he appeared on the Today show and described his grief as being really tough, "It doesn't seem like the pain is ever really gonna go away ... You just kinda figure out how to carry it a bit better,"
Today would have been Eddie's 66th birthday, and Wolfie shared a couple videos from his childhood. On one he wrote, " Happy 66th Birthday, Pop. I wish I could give you the biggest hug and celebrate it with you. I love and miss you so much it hurts. I don’t even know how to put it into words. I’ve been doing my best to hold it together, but goddammit it’s really tough being here without you."
The second one is from Christmas Eve 1994. Wolfie wrote, "Not a second has gone by where you haven’t been on my mind, and today will be no different. Love and miss you beyond words, Pop."
