Being a construction worker comes with certain risks, like the possibility of an iron rod impaling your skull.
That's what happened to 21-year-old Sanjay Bahe of central India.
Sanjay was doing some repair work at a construction site when he fell down a well and the rod pierced straight through his head. He was rushed to the hospital after the iron rod pierced from the right temporal region of his brain to the left frontal region.
Miraculously, after an hour and a half of surgery, neurosurgeons had removed the rod safely with hardly any bleeding or injury to the surrounding area. Doctors say he should make a full recovery. No word if he plans on going back to the job.
