PETA Not Okay With Luke Bryan’s Christmas Gift To His Wife

As we previously told you, Luke Bryan gifted his wife Caroline two kangaroos over the holidays which will be raised at their Brett's Barn, a farm established in memory of Caroline's late niece. Now anyone who watched the video of Luke giving Caroline her gift probably thought it was adorable, but, in case you missed it, the folks at PETA didn’t feel the same.

The animal rights organization recently shared a post on their website directed at Luke’s gift, titled “Luke Bryan Should Send Christmas Kangaroos to a Sanctuary." They note, "Baby kangaroos belong in their mothers’ pouches, not in gift bags,” adding, “these joeys have complex needs, including specialized diets and room to roam — they are not toys and will only become more difficult to care for as they grow older.”

The organization is now arguing for an investigation into where Luke got the animals, and adds that they are “ready to help Luke Bryan right this wrong and move these vulnerable marsupials to a reputable sanctuary."
