The Pittsburgh Steelers head into Week 17 with an opportunity to earn home-field advantage in the AFC Playoffs.
All they need to do is beat the Browns at Heinz Field Sunday and…
Well, they also need the Jets to beat the Patriots in New England.
Yeah, given the odds of that are slim, they have decided to focus on what they can control—beating the winless Browns.
And given Cleveland hasn’t beat any team in the league this season, why not throw in a few backups and see if they can beat them.
Which is why Pittsburgh announced yesterday that they will sit QB Ben Roethlisberger and running back Le’Veon Bell for Sunday’s game.
And really given the fact that the Pats are also playing a backup QB in New York’s Bryce Petty, the only news this affects is the Browns.
As this may be Cleveland’s best chance to win all season.
Either way, it’s definitely their last.
