Good News: Cop Shovels Snow For Businesses After Christmas Storm

A police officer in Maine was caught doing a good deed after a heavy Christmas Day snowstorm. Officer Ben Murtiff with the Augusta Police Department spent the morning after Christmas shoveling snow in front of local businesses and store owner Betsy Curtis snapped a photo of him in action.

Curtis posted the picture of Murtiff’s kind gesture on Facebook to show how great her local police department is. “They’re constantly coming in and making sure our businesses are doing okay,” she says, “and our streets are safe for us and really trying to lend a hand in any way they can help us.”
