White House Aide Says Attacks On FBI Official Justified

A top White House aide says President Trump's Twitter attacks on a deputy FBI director is a function of Americas' "right to know" about potential partisanship at the nation's top law enforcement agency.  

White House director of legislative affairs Marc Short says the "president believes the American people have a right to know what happened with the Hillary Clinton email investigation."  

Short outlined on "Fox News Sunday" potential partisanship after the wife of Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe accepted a 700-thousand-dollar campaign donation from Clinton confidant and Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe.
