Senator Bernie Sanders says voters' views of President Trump's time in office should spell trouble for the Republican Party in 2018.
The Vermont independent tells CNN's "State of the Union" "If I were the Republicans, I would worry very much about 2018."
Sanders pointed out the recent win by Alabama Democrat Doug Jones over Republican Roy Moore. Sanders says Moore was "not a strong candidate," but contends the election is evidence that more people were "catching on" that Trump lied about his campaign promises.
The senator says President Trump said he was going to "defend the interests of the working class and the middle class, and it turned out he lied,"
