Report: Cavs' Thomas Looking To Return In Early January

More help is going to be on the way for LeBron James and the Cavaliers in the near future.

According to Yahoo! Sports, All-Star guard Isaiah Thomas is shooting for the first week of January to make his season-debut.

Thomas has been recovering from a hip injury suffered last season that didn't let him finish the Eastern Conference finals.

Cleveland acquired Thomas from the Celtics in the Kyrie Irving deal.

The Cavs have started a variety of point guards this season including Derrick Rose and Jose Calderon.

Thomas averaged 28.9 points, 5.9 assists and 2.7 rebounds during 2016-2017.
